- Reading Speed: On average, an adult reads about 200 to 225 words per minute. Our tool divides your total word count by 225 to give you an accurate estimated reading time.
- Speaking Speed: When speaking out loud (like giving a presentation or recording a YouTube video), people talk slower so others can understand them—around 150 words per minute. Our tool calculates speaking time using this standard speed.
